It’s a good place if you’re feeling homesick and you just moved away from Guam. Food was good. Would have it again if feeling homesick and don’t wanna cook. Service was great our server was very quick and attentive. Atmosphere was kinda weird. Daniel Caesar was playing and I would’ve liked to hear Fiji or some island jamz. The chicken kelaguen was dry unfortunately and used red pepper flakes? Empanadas were good; crispy and not too oily. The red rice was a little dry but other than that good. The spicy finadenne wasn’t spicy. The potato salad was good; creamy and delicious. The pork ribs were soft and flavorful which was definitely the highlight. The meat was good and the portions were big enough to be two meals.

I recently tried JJ’s Island Grindz and overall had a good experience. Their chicken wings are on point—definitely a standout! The lumpia was also really good, and all of the food came out hot, which I always appreciate. The seating area is decent, though it would be nice to have condiments available on the tables for convenience. Out of the four items we tried, I really liked two of them, so it was a bit of a mixed experience. Pricing is a little on the higher side for the type of restaurant, but the quality on certain items makes it worth trying. Overall, I’d give it 4 stars and would come back for the wings and lumpia!

We came through from Las Vegas to visit friends. We're all originally from Guam - so to taste traditional flavors that bring you back to the island was definitely a treat! I ordered their chicken keleguan plate with red rice and macaroni salad. The flavors were satisfying and they are gracious with their portions. Finadenne' was also available. Overall our experience here was definitely one for the books! We will be back for more🤙🏽.

So so so good. Food is amazing and just like you’d find in Hawaii and the staff were super nice and helpful. Also was so much food that can definitely get a couple of meals out of one order. Can’t wait to go back and check out their tiki bar.

Parking: came on a Friday night and we circled around many times before finding a spot. Our friends parked across the street. Multiple restaurants in this plaza taking up space. There’s the bar entrance on the right or main entrance on the left. Plenty of patio space. Happy hour M-F until 6pm. Live band on Friday with island music. We started with a mega punch bowl to share. Only a few flavors were offered. We got Mount Matavanu which tasted like pina colada with mango, pineapple, passion fruit, coconut milk and vodka. We would have ordered a second one but didn’t have a DD. Our table ordered: The sampler- came with empanadas, wings, lumpia, shrimp patties (similar to hush puppies) Green muscles- topped with dynamite sauce, crab and eel sauce. Garlic Edamame- huge portions but tiny edamame and the sauce was lacking flavor. If you want it spicy, add $1. The tribal- chicken, beef and shrimp kelaguen with chips. The server said beef seems to be the least favorite and left behind by patrons due to its raw texture. I actually liked it because it reminded me of a Vietnamese dish where you put lemon juice on to cook it. The shrimp was like ceviche and the chicken had a Smokey char
